Reformers Unanimous class format is split into three different segments which are designed to develop a
personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

    1) We Talk To God: Prayer and Testimonies
We do that in two ways. First we talk to God in prayer. Each student is given an opportunity to share a need or request for God. We then talk to God in prayer over those requests. The requests are typed out and presented to the students to be prayed over through the week. We then talk to God in testimonies. Reformers Unanimous gives
students an opportunity to share how God has changed their lives. Our visitors love to hear stories of recovery through God's miraculous, saving grace. We hear of days, weeks, months, and years of victory and give awards for each.

    2) We Talk To Each Other: Counsel Groups
Reformers Unanimous breaks into counsel groups to share each of our burdens or blessings. Each group is led by a counsel leader. If anyone needs personal counsel, it is made available. Students go over their completed challenges during this time and encourage each other in their road to recovery. Counsel groups are led by volunteer church members and graduate students. Training is available to help you prepare your church helpers to reach out to those to whom much is forgiven.

   3) God Talks To Us: Preaching
God talks to us. He does that, Lord willing, during the message. Reformers Unanimous doesn't just listen to people talk about their problems. We teach what God says to do about it. We teach the Holy Bible. It is the only book God wrote, thus it is the only one we use. Each new camp director is trained in how to present the messages in convicting yet caring ways, which are intended to encourage the students toward program participation. A hearer that is a doer is always an overcomer.

Terry and Chrystal's Testimony's

Terry's Testimony

I grew up in a single parent home, being raised by my mother. We were not Christians,

and very rarely attended a church. In my later teenage years, I began partying with friends,

but nothing excessive. I met my wife during this time. She was a Christian and attended a

Christian school. I foolishly thought that she could help change me. However, things just got

worse. My bad life-style pulled her down, and we eventually were partying together.

In an attempt to stop the downward spiral that our lives were going in, we began attending the

church my wife had grown up in. On Easter Sunday, the Holy Spirit really convicted me about

my need of salvation. That morning I accepted Christ as my personal Savior. I really wanted to

start living right; I just didn't know how to do it. I thought it was too hard to give up everything,

so we tried living with our feet in both worlds. It didn't work. It wasn't long before we were once

again living in our old sinful life-style, only this time the drugs and alcohol were much worse than

before. Our marriage began to fall apart, and we separated for a couple of days.

While my wife and I were separated, my father-in-law told me about the RU Men's Discipleship

Program in Rockford, Illinois. He thought it could help me. I was very interested. I told my wife

that I wanted to get my life straightened out and learn how to be a good husband to her; so I was

going to go to the RU Men's Discipleship Home for 8 months to get my life turned around.

While in Rockford, I learned so much about building a personal relationship with God. I began

to fall in love with serving Him and living right. During my tenure of the program, God called

me to attend Bible College to become a preacher.

God has done so much for me because of the ministry of Reformers Unanimous. I graduated from

the program in April, my marriage has been restored, and God has given me a second chance to live

for Him. God has transformed our lives through Reformers Unanimous. I thank God for this ministry

and the difference it has made in my life.

Chrystal's Testimony
I grew up in a Christian family, attended a Christian school, and knew what it was to be a Christian.

However, I moved out of my parent's home and before long I was living in sin. A year later I got

married to an unsaved man, and my party life grew worse. Our life was spinning out of control.

Praise God, on Easter Sunday 2002, my husband got saved. A couple of months later, Steve Curington

came to my church to start a Reformers Unanimous. That Sunday I realized I wasn't sure of my salvation,

and came to know Christ as my personal Savior for sure. Even though we were saved, it was too hard for

us as new Christians to let go of our bad life-style. So we tried to live in both worlds. Before I knew it, we

were heavily into alcohol and drugs, and our marriage was falling apart.

Eventually, circumstances led my husband and I to separate. It was during this time that my husband

told me that he was going to go to Rockford to live in the Men's Discipleship Homes to straighten out.

He said that he also wanted us to work things out in our marriage. I realized I needed to change also.

I wanted to be the woman and wife that God wanted me to be. I just didn't know how. Neither did my

husband.

I started attending our local RU meetings in Missouri and in my local church. God began working in

my heart, showing me areas in which I needed to grow. My yearning to please God continued to grow

as I remained faithful in RU and in my church. My husband, while in Rockford, began to grow quickly

in the Lord, and before graduation, God called him to preach. He would minister and encourage me over

the phone while in the Men' Discipleship Program in Rockford.

He graduated in April, and moved me to Illinois to be with him. It seemed that God had given me a

totally new husband. We decided that it would be best if I went through the women's program to get

more spiritual training.  I will be training to be a good and valuable preacher's wife.

God has given me several Christian friends who have helped me in my spiritual growth. My walk with

God has gotten closer and closer every day since arriving in Rockford. I thank God for His mercy

towards me. God has changed my husband and given me a new desire in life to serve Him. All of

this was made possible because of RU, the men's home, and now for me, the women's home.

I praise God for Reformers Unanimous.
